“Chill is what I do best.”
A note from John
After a long period of hibernation, Minerva Street is coming alive. I’m excited to reconnect with wonderful West Australian musicians and to connect with gifted musicians in Africa. There’s new music, new footage and a clearer sense of where I want to go.
Perhaps it’s time I overcame my fear of technology and embraced this brave new future. Some new fans have recently connected with me, and I’m looking forward to reconnecting with key players who have given so freely in the past: Emma-Leigh on vocals, Evan Holmes on saxophones and Lez Karski on guitar.
A new deal with Nuelight Music in Cape Town feels like a good next step. I’ve also filmed some footage I’m excited to share. Thank you to Paul Kelly at Unbranded Space for his input.
To the new listeners who appreciate these endeavours, and to the older fans who never stopped playing the first album, ‘02:45 a.m.’: thank you. It’s good to be coming alive again.
